William J. Burghardt has authored two plays, both produced in the Chicago area, "Just Before the Snow Melts" and "Shadow Stock." He is a graduate of the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) with a major in Rhetoric and Composition (creative writing). He also holds a Masters Degree from Roosevelt University in theater direction. A former journalist, he won the Peter Lisagor Award -- bestowed annually by the Chicago Headline Club for outstanding journalism accomplishment in the seven-county Chicago area -- in the field of arts criticism. He resides in Glen Ellyn, IL.
