On my first day in high school, I fell madly in love. It was the language and culture of France that stole my heart in my first French class. After college, I carried this love into my own classroom because of my need to share it. Every two years, I traveled with students, visiting a dozen countries and experiencing the sights and sounds of Europe. History came alive. Diverse cultures awakened me, and now, in my retirement, I love to use my experiences to create my own stories as my passion lives on. I live in West Michigan near my six grandchildren and two of my four grown children. I enjoy the arts, both visual and performing, and love doing artistic, creative things myself. And to be sure, the desire to travel this big, magical world will always run deep in my veins.
