Verena Dahms – Author of deep, heartfelt women’s fiction and romance with substance I write stories about women who, after a loss or a turning point, find their own path anew – quietly, with strength, and with deep emotion. My novels are realistic, sometimes poetic, always deeply human, and often set in atmospheric locations – from the winding streets of Marseille to the Atlantic coast in Bordeaux and Arcachon. Whether it’s about a second chance at love, building cultural bridges, or finding the courage to start over, my characters are not flawless heroines, but women with edges and imperfections in whom readers can see themselves. I make my home in France, love to travel, and draw inspiration from places that seem to breathe stories. When I write, I prefer to observe from the sidelines, capturing moments hidden in the everyday – and telling them in a way that lingers long after the last page.
