Tyler Small is the author of The 5-Star Approach to Parenting, and founder of The 5-Star Approach. Since 2010, he has worked with leaders to help people learn, lead, and enjoy their work so they can go home happy. His life calling is to help people bring joy to others (the key to happiness). Tyler holds a Masters Degree in Instructional Psychology from Brigham Young University. He has researched, designed, and taught about learning and leadership for Brigham Young University, University of Utah, and Western Governors University. He has also consulted for Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, and startups across many industries from Arabic to Accounting. Despite all this, he considers his role as a husband and father to be his most important work. Tyler loves spending quality time with his better half, Alicia, and their five children. Together, they enjoy rock climbing, hiking, and camping in the mountains of Utah.
