Tobias Riedel, known by the stage name Romeo Nightingale, rose to fame as a musician with the internationally successful band Cinema Bizarre. After touring around the world, he now works professionally in the fields of social media, data protection, project management, and animal welfare.

For many years, however, his greatest passion has been the world of Live Action Roleplay (LARP) – a creative source that ultimately led him to writing. This passion gave birth to “The Klabauter Chronicles,” a gamebook series that brought a fresh breeze to the scene and is now available in multiple volumes and languages – also sold in selected game stores.

Tobias Riedel’s repertoire extends far beyond fantasy: with “Touch of Despair,” a romantic thriller set in the world of rock and pop music, he published his first traditional novel in 2024. This was followed by the science-fiction gamebook “Star Raider – Hyperion Prime” and the open-world fantasy gamebook “Monster Hunter Legacy,” which sets new standards through its open chaos system.

On July 15, 2025, his first British country house mystery novel was released: “One Inheritance Too Many in Old Thatch,” an atmospheric novel with psychological depth.

Several audiobooks have since been produced as well – including his novel and various story paths from his interactive gamebooks.

In May 2026, the first horror-crime gamebook, “1930 Horror Crime Adventures – The Horror of Ingarso,” was released in german.

When Tobias Riedel is not writing, traveling, or consulting, he immerses himself deeply in the worlds of LARP, sci-fi, fantasy, pen-and-paper roleplaying, board games, and card games – always in search of new stories.
