Tim Heath has written thirty thrillers in fourteen years.

He spent four years living in St Petersburg before moving to Tallinn, where he still writes — and it shows. The Russia in his novels is drawn from the inside: the metro, the White Nights, the geography, and the quiet way power actually moves.

His nine-book Hunt series follows ten of Russia's wealthiest men and the games they play with other people's lives. Elsewhere in the catalogue: a killer using a city's own social media against it, a man who wakes seven years inside his own past, and a footballer who has never explained what happened in the tunnel at Wembley.

The Comments Section, a psychological thriller, is out in November.

He is originally from Kent.
