Thomas West (PhD, Southeastern Seminary) is the senior pastor of Nashville First Baptist Church and an adjunct professor of theology at Belmont University and Southeastern Seminary. Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, he spent several years in London, where he planted Redeemer Queen's Park, drawn by the question of what it looks like to follow Jesus in a world full of competing stories about meaning and purpose. He writes and teaches at the intersection of theology, culture, and mission, with a particular focus on Lesslie Newbigin, and is the co-author, with Trevin Wax, of "The Gospel Way Catechism" and "The Gospel Way Catechism for Kids." He writes WestsWords at Substack. Thomas lives in Nashville with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two children.
