Thomas Cannon is the author of several books, including No More Ugly Girls, The Tao of Apathy, and Shattered. His work is not confined to long-form literature; his poems and short stories have been published in various respected journals, such as Midwestern Gothic and Corvus Review. Cannon's writing often explores themes of resilience, identity, and the human condition, resonating deeply with readers. Beyond his writing, Cannon is deeply involved in fostering literary culture in Oshkosh. He co-founded the Lakefly Writers Conference, an annual event that brings together writers of all levels to explore the craft and share their work. Additionally, he co-hosts the Author Showcase on the Oshkosh Media Channel, providing a platform for local authors to reach a broader audience. Thomas Cannon's and his wife, Linda, have raised three children and now enjoy the company of their three grandchildren Cannon's passion for poetry is not just limited to his writing. He frequently conducts workshops, often in collaboration with fellow poet Bill Gillard, to help others discover the power of poetry. These workshops focus on the essentials of compelling storytelling, character development, and the art of crafting engaging dialogue.
