Tanner Halbert has a degree in psychology and taught English in Japan as part of the JET Programme. He enjoys writing fantasy and playing sea shanties on his guitar. Likewise, he has been known to run marathons, swim, hike, and bike around Canada and Japan. In 2024 he ran the River Shimanto Ultra Marathon in Kochi Prefecture, Japan and is hungry for more ultra runs. Tanner is also the creator of the Bold Basan YouTube channel where he documented his journey in Japan through monthly vlogs. Tanner lives in Alberta, Canada.
