T.E. Milburn is the author of the Magic in the Mountains series. These fast-paced middle-grade stories for readers ages 7–10 combine classic storytelling with hidden worlds and high-stakes adventure. The series began in 2022 as a creative writing project with her sons and quickly evolved into a full family collaboration, with ideas coming from all directions. Her oldest son (age 8 at the time) even became the story’s first illustrator—he took the role very seriously. What started as a special gift for her boys grew into something much bigger when she decided to share it with other families. She continues to expand the series, writing stories full of adventure, imagination, and heart. She is also developing the Nessa Knightly and the Gnomes series. These STEM-sprinkled adventures weave science and magic together for curious young readers. When she’s not writing, she’s usually spending time with her family—often outdoors—which inspires many of the places and adventures in her stories.
