Susan Montgomery is an author and illustrator whose work is inspired by animals, nature, and the everyday moments that invite us to slow down and notice the world around us. Her work includes children's books and nonfiction for adults, and she is always curious about where the next story might lead.

Susan has always been drawn to creativity and the arts, but her publishing journey began during the COVID-19 pandemic, when learning to play the ukulele unexpectedly opened the door to writing and illustrating children's books.

Living with chronic pain, Susan strives to show others that nothing is impossible. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education. Through her storytelling, she hopes to spark imagination and joy in readers of all ages. Susan lives in Bowling Green, Ohio, with her tuxedo cat, Tracey.
