Susan Louise Gabriel is an author, publisher, and lifelong question-asker whose writing explores the intersection of faith, human experience, and life's difficult questions.

After a career in business development, Susan founded Soul Sonshine, LLC, a Christian publishing company dedicated to helping authors bring meaningful books into the world.

Her own work ranges from children's stories to investigative memoir and thought-provoking narrative nonfiction. Wheels of Injustice chronicles her family's experience with a deeply flawed system and the activism that followed. In Conversations at the Edge of the Map, she explores intelligence, consciousness, human connection, faith, and what it means to be human.

Susan lives with her husband in the Texas countryside, where she continues to write, wonder, and follow the questions wherever they lead.

Her guiding principle is 1 Thessalonians 5:21 (BSB): “but test all things. Hold fast to what is good.”
