As a social sciences educator in multiple states of the country, Susan earned numerous teaching awards for contributions in the fields of both geography and sociology. In applying storytelling skills with intriguing and rich histories from her own travels and vast family, she offered powerful examples while focusing on specific topics within lessons. She shared this passion with her students; many wrote their own family histories. Now retired from teaching, Susan has a full life with roles of wife, mother, and grandmother. She spends precious free moments in nature, a constant source of inspiration between current writing projects and now, her first published book with a second coming soon!
