"I love picture books for their whimsical approaches to life's big issues. Picture books can be deeply philosophical and speak as much to adults as to the kids. Clothed in colorful and whimsical stories, picture books examine the deep questions of life. The books you read as a child stay with you forever. Children's picture books speak to the heart with simple truth using rhythmic language and colorful illustration."
Susan is the founder of Booksicals, Literacy & Arts program, a K through 6th, arts enrichment curriculum using theater for learning. Its based on picture books and is used in school and after school programs around the country.
Susan just launched a new Youtube channel for kids called StoryStoryKids featuring songs, stories, nursery rhymes and read aloud picture books.
