Sue Lloyd-Davies lives and writes in an old cottage in a quirky Florida beach village where her fuzzy cat, Arlo, loafs next to her keyboard and types an occasional space or two into her stories. Caring for her mother, whose life—filled with friends and quilting and church—drifted into dementia, became the spark that inspired Sue’s novel about Pinkie, Great Gran, and Jack, the extraordinary cat. When she’s not writing, Sue can be found outside under the oaks handing out hazelnuts and grapes to Owen, her rescue squirrel, or careening around at the community center in a line dance. Pinkie’s Turnabout earned a starred review from Publishers Weekly, received the Gold Royal Palm Literary Award for middle grade fiction, was a finalist in the international Mslexia Children’s Novel Competition and long-listed for the Yeovil Literary Prize and the Kraken Book Prize.
