I'm a big fan of action thrillers and often pick up the likes of Jack Higgins, Matthew Reilly and James Twining, I also love a good action movie. I grew up in Newcastle upon Tyne but that hasn't stopped me. My professional background is in criminal intelligence with a bit of military and, later in my career, business analysis, thrown in for good measure. I've had things published in trade magazines, put out on radio, academic conferences, and in the legendary anthology Radgepacket. I have a PhD and currently work as a crime and intelligence lecturer at Teesside University. I'm an unsigned writer and think of my creative writing as a new band would their demo tape. In other news, Lindisfarne Mead is my tipple of choice, I like it, but it makes me fall over.
