Steven Lovett is founder and principal consultant at Principled Consulting Services, where he advises C-suite executives, boards, and leadership teams on strategic transformation. A veteran executive and business educator with more than 25 years of experience, Steven has held senior roles as chief legal officer, corporate executive, and university professor, working across financial services, healthcare, public universities, and private industry.

Throughout his career, Steven has witnessed a consistent pattern among executives he's worked with most run their businesses for the present. They follow "strategic" playbooks that might improve near-term operational performance but virtually guarantee long-term mediocrity or failure. Meanwhile, a smaller group of leaders think differently. They spot emerging patterns others miss. They connect disparate ideas and translate insight into outcome-focused action. They don't just run their business; they create it.

This observation became the cornerstone of his consulting practice and the foundation for The StrategIQ Mindset™, his proprietary framework for developing true strategic intelligence. The methodology is grounded in a deceptively simple belief: the critical gap between executives who manage incremental decline and those who engineer breakthrough futures isn't intelligence, it's mindset. It's the difference between thinking ahead, aligning the enterprise, and leading meaningful change without chaos, burnout, or organizational fatigue.

Steven's work bridges strategy and execution, combining principled leadership, empirical insight, and real-world advisory experience. He has guided organizations through turnarounds, positioned leadership teams for transformational growth, and helped executives navigate unprecedented complexity while accelerating strategic decision-making and achieving breakthrough results.

Beyond his consulting work, Steven is a passionate educator and author. He has taught at the university level, published research on organizational leadership, and regularly speaks to CEO forums and leadership conferences on themes of strategic intelligence, executive transformation, and organizational design.

Steven holds advanced degrees and professional credentials in law and business. He is based in North America and conducts executive advisory work internationally.
