Steve Scearcy is the creator of the Perfect, Oklahoma series, stories that celebrate the humor, heart, and enduring values of small-town America. Raised in a small Missouri town and now based in the Kansas City area, he writes with affection about the people, traditions, and everyday moments that remind us what community truly means.
A Perfect Christmas introduces readers to the fictional town of Perfect, Oklahoma, where faith, family, friendship, and laughter come together in stories that celebrate the imperfect moments that make life memorable. Through memorable characters and gentle humor, Steve invites readers to rediscover the timeless joys of Christmas and the quiet heroism found in ordinary lives.
Before turning his focus to fiction, Steve spent more than three decades as a producer and storyteller in film and television. His feature documentary Without Warning became an Amazon Top 50 title and earned both Amazon's Choice and Amazon Overall Pick recognition. During his career he has worked with notable figures including Muhammad Ali, John Cleese, Hank Aaron, and Ernest Borgnine, creating documentaries and family entertainment for audiences around the world.
Whether writing books or producing films, Steve believes the most meaningful stories are those that leave people with hope. Through the Perfect, Oklahoma series, he continues to celebrate the humor, compassion, resilience, and grace that can still be found in America's small towns.
