“All you have to do is write one true sentence. Write the truest sentence that you know.” – Ernest Hemingway.

Stephen David Hyne and Diamante Angelin Jackman are the creative voices behind works that ignite the soul, challenge the intellect, and inspire a fresh perspective on life. Driven by a deep desire to understand the interplay of personal identity and the broader world, my writing stems from an enduring quest to illuminate my thoughts in the light of day. I embrace the momentum of flow in my creative process, where careful research meets spontaneous inspiration.

This passion for writing was forged through personal tragedy, a journey that taught me the profound lessons hidden in pain and suffering. Losing my beloved wife to cancer and delving into the heartbreak of history, such as the tumultuous last years of Russian history, shattered my old illusions and awakened a thirst for understanding. These experiences cracked open the rigid paradigms of a linear reality, paving the way for the expansive, compassionate worldview I strive to share in my books.

A university student in my mid-fifties, I rediscover the joy of childhood through art and textiles as a designer, exploring the playful possibilities of creativity. Yet, my writing remains my anchor, an intellectual liberation that propels me forward as I continuously broaden my horizons. Inspired by the timeless wisdom of Socrates—“I know nothing”—and Nietzsche’s poignant caution against gazing too long into the abyss, my purpose is to guide others toward a life of compassion, colour, and limitless potential.

Through my books, I invite you to step into a world of possibility where old illusions give way to transformative insights. Visit my website, Compassionateyou, where you'll find not only my works but also a shared journey of heart, mind, and spirit. My intention is that these pages inspire you to listen to your own heart, embrace life’s complexities, and live boldly beyond black and white—to a life in full colour.
