Steve Cortes has been trading independently since 1999. In 2002 he founded Veracruz LLC, a trading and research firm that provides realtime market research to institutional clients, including Wall St. Broker/Dealers, hedge funds, and international Sovereign Wealth Funds. He also appears daily on CNBC as a commentator, primarily on the Fast Money Halftime Report. He graduated from Georgetown University, which nominated him for the Rhodes Scholarship.
