Spyridon Andrews is a Greek American lawyer, writer, and jazz musician whose work explores tradition, faith, and cultural memory across two continents. A graduate of Harvard, Elmhurst University, and the Illinois Institute of Technology, he has also studied in Greece, Italy and at Northwestern University. Andrews is the author of Manuel and Me: Looking for the Soul of America in the Heart of Italy, a blend of history, memoir, and travel that reflects on what America has lost and what Italy still preserves. His forthcoming works include The Broken Hellene, an exploration of modern Greek identity, The Gospel of Jazz and Rootless, a cultural critique of Western decline. He and his family divide their time between Los Angeles and Lucca, Italy. Andrews writes with equal passion about Florence, Byzantium, jazz improvisation, and the human search for meaning. He has released four albums under the Spirojazz project, and his two trusted Pomeranians, Milo and Shorty, often appear as companions in his writing.
