I'm Sophie - hypnotherapist, Reiki Master Teacher, single mum and Netflix addict. I live in the wild green of the beautiful Norfolk countryside with my brilliant neurodiverse son, anxious rescue dog and over-confident cat (seriously - the cat is un-spookable). I'm part meditation, crystals and gong baths and part junk food, trash tv and pyjama days. Back in 2009, I was mum to a toddler who Would. Not. Sleep. I was experiencing post-natal depression and anxiety, and struggling financially. I had always been interested in alternative therapies - maybe they could help me? I trained as a Reiki Master Teacher - and that was the beginning of a whole new path for me, one that led me out of pain and into the most fulfilling period of my life... Then I became a certified hypnotherapist - and WOW - I discovered that Reiki paired with hypnotherapy is like healing turned up to 11. I've never looked back. Since that first leap of faith, I've: - healed, trained and guided 100s of happy clients, patients, students and readers - solo-parented my amazing neuro-diverse son through some really tough times - left the city smoke for wild, green countryside and big skies - rescued 3 naughty cats and 1 beautiful, anxious dog - launched a series of online courses (so far) - dyed my hair 879(ish) different colours - eaten a lot of crisps For over 11 years I've helped my clients recover from anxiety, depression, emotional upheaval, chronic pain and much more besides. I knew from an early age that anxiety was going to be a feature of my life, and of my son's, so in 2019 I began working on a series of children's books, Calming Fables, with the first, The Hare and The Moon, being released in November 2019. Teaching children early on how to handle their emotions and calm their worries is rewarding work. I'm really proud of the work I do and I love seeing people recover and blossom - it's what drives me!
