Sonia Dagotor tenía treinta y cuatro años cuando, en una noche de insomnio, decidió escribir una trilogía: Epouse, mère et working girl. En principio, nada la empujaba a escribir. Casi como su heroína, Marie, Sonia está casada, tiene dos hijos y un trabajo muy absorbente. A pesar de que sus jornadas son muy intensas, todas las noches, después de acostar a sus hijos, tiene una cita con sus personajes e inventa historias en las que todos, hombres o mujeres de cualquier generación, pueden reconocerse. Después de terminar su trilogía, que obtuvo una calurosa acogida entre los lectores, Sonia publicó Un voeu pas comme les autres en julio de 2016, por el que quedó finalista del premio Plumes francophones, un concurso organizado por Amazon en el que participaron mil ciento setenta y tres autores. Una terapia de altura es su séptima novela, ganadora del Premio Literario Amazon 2019 en Francia, y es el primer libro de la autora traducido al castellano por Amazon Crossing.
