Sloane Marsh writes contemporary romance for women who like the lights on. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with a tolerant husband, a black cat named Figaro who believes he is the protagonist, and a coffee habit her cardiologist would prefer she not discuss. Before she started writing full time, she worked in hospitality—front desks, late shifts, the kind of jobs where you watch people behave very badly in expensive shoes—and she cheerfully steals from all of it.

Her stories live in the space between I shouldn’t and I’m going to anyway: the friend’s husband, the coach across the field, the professor whose office hours run long. She writes the women her book club won’t admit they want to be for one weekend.
