Shawna Elizabeth Miller was born and raised in New York. She attended Adelphi University in Garden City, NY, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature. Shawna Elizabeth is a Licensed Esthetician, Esthetician Instructor, Make-up Artist and Make-up Art Instructor. She has held positions in Management & Training for M.A.C Cosmetics, Yves Saint Laurent Cosmetics and Lancôme Cosmetics. She has been a Make-up Artist for several commercials and print campaigns, runway shows, plays and Fashion Week(s). Shawna was awarded Make-up Artist of the Year in 2013 for the state of GA, by the Raw Organization, which is the largest independent arts organization in the world. Most recently, Shawna Elizabeth was a Make-up Artist nominee for the 2019 New York Hair & beauty Awards. Shawna Elizabeth wear many hats; she is a child of God, wife mother and the CEO of By the SEE Spa, Shawna Elizabeth Enterprise, LLC. S.E.E. is a company that eats, sleeps and breathes skincare and make-up art! She spends her day teaching students of New York State, the fundamentals of Esthetics and Make-up Artistry. She also provides corrective skin care and make-up solutions to her clients. Shawna Elizabeth also has created a full curriculum of Make-up Artistry classes, where women are encouraged to learn basic make-up techniques. She empowers women to learn the customized artistry techniques to enhance themselves. In 2016, Shawna Elizabeth established The Gift of a Story, which was birthed with the objective to collect and donate brand new children’s books to The Maria Fareri Children’s hospital. In 2018 she expanded this project JCY-Westchester Community Partners and collected and donated both brand new children’s books and gently used books. Shawna Elizabeth attributes the success of The Gift of a Story to all the clients, friends and family that support this project. Shawna Elizabeth is a Silver Star member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated is the first black Greek letter sorority, whose purpose is to service all mankind. Shawna Elizabeth will continue to educate all women on skin care and make-up artistry. Her goal is to serve her community by sharing knowledge and expertise, while contributing resources and empowering women.
