Shaul Kelner is a National Jewish Book Award-winning Professor of Jewish Studies and Sociology at Vanderbilt University. He has been a Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Studies of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a visiting scholar at Tel Aviv University, and a senior research associate at Brandeis University's Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the City University of New York's Graduate Center.

Prof. Kelner lectures internationally on the sociology of contemporary Jewish life.
