Shannon Priestley is an educator, author, and innovator with more than two decades of experience teaching. He holds a degree in English, Education, and has a background in Children’s Literature from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). He currently teaches high school Reading in Middle Tennessee. Known for blending a love of storytelling with reading, Shannon helps students discover the power of imagination. In addition to teaching, Shannon has published multiple books exploring the future of learning, including works on AI in the classroom, AI tutoring, AI in education, AI prompt engineering, and how to self-publish. His writing equips educators, students, and aspiring authors with practical strategies to embrace technology and creativity in meaningful ways. Shannon is the creator of many children’s books including the Nash the Note children’s book series, which brings music, courage, and Tennessee culture to life for young readers. He has also authored Ed the Zebra. How Ed Put Murfreesboro, Tn on the Map and Smokey Joe Visits Downtown Gatlinburg. All of his children's stories encourage children to find their voice, believe in themselves, and celebrate the joy of reading. When he isn’t teaching or writing, Shannon enjoys traveling with his wife and son, exploring new places, and drawing inspiration for his next project.
