Turn of Ages Production Company founder, Semaje Turnage is a young entrepreneur with drive! He is a respected filmmaker who earned a degree in Theatre at Los Angeles Southwest College. He is a seasoned musician, skilled in writing, composing, recording, and producing hip hop, R&B and Gospel. This multi-talented young man is also a renowned author and motivational speaker. Recent achievements include writing and directing for “The Nest” series, a highly successful premiere. But, each and every one of these accolades came with a very high price tag. Semaje grew up in a single parent household, in the midst of gang culture and violence. He fought a long hard battle to overcome numerous obstacles. His mother laid a strong spiritual foundation for him and his two siblings. She used wisdom and insight to keep him on the right path. Through the influence of his mother, and mentoring from many caring people who crossed his path, Semaje derived the strength to overcome the challenges of his environment. He ultimately found a way out of combat through writing poetry, which eventually led him to become a rap artist…and the rest was history. Semaje loves animation! In addition to his array of gifts and talents, he has evolved to become an accomplished storyteller. As a little boy, he learned that cartoons were actually drawn by people. So one day he drew a cartoon of his own and put it behind the television to see if his own cartoon character would come to life and show through the television screen. So he displayed signs of being a great visionary at a very early age. From the streets came an inquisitive, precocious young man with a high level of raw talent; a man who found his strongpoint in life and now offers the same to others through his Los Angeles nonprofit, in which he helps people in the Community discover their talents and reach their full potential. His past struggles have proven to be a source of energy for Semaje; and that same energy carries into all that he pursues and accomplishes today.
