Sarah W. Jaffe is a graduate of Whitman College and Columbia Law School. She worked as an attorney for seven years representing children in the foster care system, and currently is a lifestyle writer with the parenting website Romper. Her writing has appeared in The Rumpus, Catapult, Slate, and Bklyner magazine. She has a particular interest in writing about the gap between rich and poor children in the United States, how government systems impact the lives of those living in poverty, and parenting in our anxious modern age. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and daughter.
