I was born in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. My parents were Displaced Persons after World War 2, and moved to Australia in 1950. My father was from Latvia, and my mother was from Serbia. My father was a cinema projectionist so I've grown up loving movies. I've lived in various places in Australia, including Canberra, and Queensland in my twenties. I now live in Port Melbourne, which happens to be where my parents first set foot on Australian soil. Being an only child, I've always loved books, and wanted to write one myself. When I retired, there were no more excuses. It took me two years to write my first book, Not Tomahawk. I like going to new places, meeting new people, travel (Sri Lanka this year) and doing cryptic crosswords.
