Sandra is a Georgia native. She received her undergrad degree from Georgia Tech, and a Masters from Dallas Theological Seminary. Sandra and Andy have been married 36 years. They have 3 kids who are all married now, and two granddaughters. They founded North Point Ministries in 1995. Sandra is the author of two women’s devotional books with companion video series—Comparison Trap and Breathing Room. With Andy, she co-authored Parenting, Getting It Right. She and her daughter, Allie Cooney, wrote Meet Me in the Middle, 8 Mother-Daughter Conversations about Life and Faith. Sandra’s ministry focus is promoting foster care in the local church. The Stanleys have been foster parents since 2010. Much of her time these days is spent working on various writing projects, and continuing her involvement with Fostering Together – the foster care initiative at North Point Ministries.
