Sammie Edgar is a Devon-based author and artist whose work combines storytelling with hidden-word artwork.

The Journey of Words began in her twenties as a form of art therapy, transforming thoughts and emotions into artwork created entirely from words. After years of creating commissioned pieces, Sammie’s life changed dramatically following a neurological condition that led to wheelchair use at the age of 42.

Following rehabilitation and several years away from painting, the loss of her beloved dog inspired her to begin writing again. Those writings evolved into Nowhere to Run - a collection of sixteen personal stories accompanied by sixteen original artworks, exploring a journey from hopelessness and helplessness towards resilience, reflection, and hope.

Sammie continues to create art and stories that celebrate the strength of the human spirit and the power of finding meaning in life’s challenges.
