Dr. Rose Ann Bomentre is an educator, leadership coach, and writer with more than three decades of experience serving students, schools, and communities. She has worked as a teacher, school counselor, principal, district administrator, and superintendent, leading with a deep commitment to equity, wellness, and human-centered systems. Born in Guam, Dr. Bomentre has lived both internationally and across the United States. Her CHamoru and Italian roots deeply inform her leadership philosophy, storytelling, and commitment to restoring balance, dignity, and belonging in complex systems. She is a proud mother of two sons, who continue to shape her understanding of care, responsibility, and resilience. She is the founder of Heart in Mind Consulting, where she supports educators and organizations in cultivating purposeful, wellness-centered leadership. Staying Human in the Work of Leadership is her first book. She believes that leadership is not about position, but about presence — rooted in Inafa’maolek, the CHamoru value of restoring harmony, and first learned through the strength and sacrifice of her parents — and that the most meaningful legacy we leave is how we love, lead, and remain fully human for those who come after us.
