Rory Laverty is a journalist and nonfiction writer who has written for the Washington Post, The Daily Beast, Military History Now, Newsweek and The Oakland Tribune. He has investigated and reported on sexual and criminal misconduct at the United Nations, in the U.S. Congress, and in the U.S. Marine Corps, and he has written about law enforcement, the military, and the justice system for a variety of publications since 1998. He lives in Wilmington, NC, and teaches at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
