I grew up in Nebraska so there will always be an appreciation of the wind-swept beauty of the Great Plains sky and wide open spaces in me. Residing in Visalia, California is a little like that midwestern feel, surrounded by those who work the soil, but here the produce is as varied as any place in the world with olives, pistachios, pomegranates, almonds, fruit of every kind, the list goes on and on. Three little granddaughters who grace our home with their visits send my happiness meter over the top. We sing and dance and laugh and love, which I think is what life is all about.
