Hi, I'm Roger Helland. I grew up in Southern California but now live in Canada, near Calgary, Alberta. I love Mexican food, ice cream, baseball, powder skiing, music, reading and writing, teaching and preaching, and a good cup of dark roast coffee. My zeal is for the spiritual and missional renewal of the church--that pastors, church leaders and churches would thrive and flourish in missional disciple-making.

Over the past 40 years, I've served as a pastor, Bible college and seminary professor, denominational leader, mentor, and the author of seven books. My current role is Prayer Catalyst for The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada and Ignite Prayer Canada. Previously, I served as District Minister of the Baptist General Conference Alberta. I love the church! My vision is that Christians and churches would experience renewal and revival by cultivating vibrant cultures of Kingdom prayer.

I graduated from Dallas Seminary with a ThM in Old Testament and Trinity Western University with a DMin in Leadership and Spiritual Formation. I've served in the Vineyard, Mennonite Brethren, Christian and Missionary Alliance, and Baptist traditions. I am a Pietist, devoted to holiness and the consecrated life, the Spirit and the Scriptures, and to prayer and the ministry of the Word. I have three children and six grandchildren.
