Robin McMillion was living in Houston when her nephew escaped from a cult and came to the U.S. for the first time. Overnight, she went from being a single mother of two to a single mother of three: her own children, plus her culture-shocked and traumatized nephew. Robin grew up in journalism. Her parents owned a newspaper, where she worked as a child. She spent a year living and working in Europe before becoming a teacher in Texas public schools. Robin is the author of “The Children of the Children” and “The Catchings Press” (coming soon). A member of the Writers’ League of Texas, Robin lives in Austin.
