Robert Mix was born in Toronto, Canada and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii.
He has a B.A. in Economics and has worked as a radio DJ, traffic reporter, talk show host, and flight instructor. For the majority of his career, he traveled the world as a commercial airline pilot.

After many years of international flying, he finally unpacked his bags, opened his laptop, and began writing.
His first novel, The Gods of Sleep was published in 2024, followed by A Noble Truth, published in 2025

He lives in Scottsdale, Arizona with his wife and two little dachshunds.
