Robert E. Saunders is a journalist and outdoorsman who weaves humor, wilderness, and the occasional brush with the otherworldly into his writing. Raised hunting, fishing, and roaming the woods of southern Ohio, Robert developed a lasting appreciation for the natural world. A lifelong bookworm, he’s rarely far from a good story. Robert grew up immersed in the worlds of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Ray Bradbury, Jack London, and other classic storytellers. His book "Tales of the Beechy Hollow Great Outdoors Club" was inspired by his own experiences and his fondness for the humorous writings of Ed Zern, Corey Ford, and Patrick F. McManus—legendary columnists from the golden age of outdoor magazines. He's also a fan of the fantastical wit of authors such as Dave Barry, Christopher Moore and Carl Hiaasen. He lives in West Virginia with his wife and their dogs.
