Riley West is an author, researcher, and advocate dedicated to empowering women with ADHD through evidence-based knowledge and compassionate support. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, she holds a Master of Science in Research Methods of Psychology from the University of Glasgow, where her research focused on neurodiversity, resilience, and wellbeing.
Diagnosed with ADHD at just six years old, Riley understands firsthand the unique challenges and untapped potential that come with living with a neurodivergent mind. Drawing on rigorous scientific training and her personal experience, she bridges the gap between academic research and everyday life, offering practical tools grounded in evidence and delivered with empathy.
Riley’s work is rooted in the belief that ADHD is not a deficit, but a different way of experiencing the world — one that, when properly supported, can be a tremendous source of creativity, innovation, and strength. Through her writing, she aims to challenge outdated narratives, dismantle stigma, and empower women to embrace their full, authentic selves.
When she is not writing, Riley continues to engage in research, advocacy, and public education, striving to make psychological insights more accessible and actionable for all. She is passionate about fostering resilience, promoting mental wellbeing, and helping individuals with ADHD not merely to cope, but to flourish.
