Richard Lister is a Man of Kent and a nursing graduate of the Open University. He is best known for his books on runes and Norse spirituality, including Runes Made Easy, The Book of Runic Astrology and The Runic Oracle.

He lives near the sea with his glamorous wife and an ever-growing collection of books. Brandr was pulled from a mixture of Richard’s imagination, his years as a historical reenactor, and a lifelong fascination with the Viking world.

When he isn’t writing, Richard can usually be found painting little plastic men, fixing his Jeep, making things, or starting another project he probably doesn’t have room for.
