He founded a fractional share ownership company (racehorse syndication) in 2004, one of the leaders in its field in the UK. His inspiration for his racing thrillers comes from the horsemen, jockeys, owners, stable staff, and, of course, the wonderful racehorses he has come into contact with over the years as a Syndicate Manager. Richard lives in York, UK with his wife and two sons.
