Richard Dance is a former counselor and professor of philosophy, mythology, and archetypal psychology at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. He has written four books: The Education of Adam Speaker, The Hero’s Journey in Film, Stumbling to Enlightenment, and Exploring the Human Spirit. Some of his philosophical counseling work is published in the HarperCollins best-seller, Plato Not Prozac by Lou Marinoff, now translated into twenty-seven languages. Prior to his teaching and counseling endeavors, Richard spent twenty years in international construction and commercial real estate, living abroad, working in multicultural environments, and traveling to over twenty nations on six continents. Richard now lives in Phoenix, Arizona, and devotes his time to another lifelong passion, songwriting, with hundreds of compositions signed to major music publishers and numerous placements in film and TV. He occasionally guest lectures at various colleges, conventions, and retreats.
