Dr. Rich Hall is a child of God, called to shed the light of His love in the world. Rich is a minister (2018) with the Universal Life Church and enjoys reading the Bible, various daily reflections and meditations, as well as a large variety of works of a religious and spiritual nature. He very much enjoys engaging in a good conversation about God and His love, always striving to spread peace and joy in whatever way he can. His faith centers on the verse 1 Corinthians 13:13: Faith in something greater than ourselves; Hope in a better tomorrow; Love for all. Rich has focused his professional work for over 30 years first and foremost on the needs of students. That has come in support for classroom teachers (especially new teachers), advocacy for sound instructional practice, and mentorship in educational leadership across all levels. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Richmond and as an educational consultant. He retired as a Director of Elementary Education in 2020 from Henrico County Public Schools. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC and his master’s and doctoral degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. He and his wife live in Ashland, VA, just north of Richmond. They are the proud parents of two adult children. Recently retired, they enjoy spending time near the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean.
