After retiring from a successful retail career, I started working through my bucket list. Stand up comedy became a passion and I performed on various stages in the Northwest. Writing a book was on the list as well. Previously, the only fiction I had written was sales projections during my retail career. The first two books started after visiting an old historic town in Oregon. I could visualize the town in the early 20th century and basically, my characters wrote the books. All of my research gave me a great appreciation of the immigrants that came to our country for a better life. My love of comedy produced the next two books, "Ice" and "Detective Jayne Moore and the Dangerous Game." I loved writing both books, infusing humor and, I admit, some sarcasm in my characters. When I'm not writing, I'm reading. I have been a voracious reader since childhood. My husband and I enjoy traveling around the country in our motorhome. To add to the craziness we also have our 85 pound German Shepherd and our cat on board. There is never a dull moment and I'm convinced most of my dialogue in "Ice" came from watching my furry family.
