Rev. Reginald Lee Bachus is a devoted believer in Jesus Christ and passionate advocate for the power of the Holy Spirit. With a diverse background in faith, community and economic development, activism, real estate, business, and law, he is uniquely equipped to inspire others to walk boldly in their purpose. A proud descendant of faith leaders and educators, he continues a legacy of service established by his grandparents and parents. Currently the Senior Pastor of Mount Ollie Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY, Rev. Bachus leads a growing, financially strong congregation committed to transformation through miracles, signs, and wonders. His leadership, both in his current term and his earlier tenure from 2011–2015, has brought membership growth, expanded outreach, and strengthened community ties. A distinguished scholar, Rev. Bachus earned his degree in Electrical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University, excelling academically, athletically, and in student leadership. His activism began early with a historic march against voter disenfranchisement in Waller County, TX. In 2003, he accepted his call to preach, later earning his Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School, ministering in churches across the tri-state area. After graduating from Yale Divinity School, he joined his father in ministry at Friendship Baptist Church in Chicago, IL, co-founding Austin Coming Together (ACT) to drive proactive social change and hosting a local TV show. In 2015, he became Associate Pastor of Harlem’s Abyssinian Baptist Church and CEO of Abyssinian Development Corporation, stabilizing the organization and continuing its billion-dollar community impact and leading an unprecedented organizational turnaround. In 2018, he pursued legal studies at Hofstra Law School on a full scholarship. IN 2019 Bachus co-founded The 400 Foundation to address systemic inequities, secure legislative victories, and later lead COVID-19 relief efforts. After earning his Juris Doctor in 2021 and passing the NY State Bar in 2024, he launched real estate and construction firms to help faith-based institutions renovate and develop housing. Now expanding his work internationally, Rev. Bachus is engaged in a faith-based trust initiative in South Africa, fostering global connections within the Black diaspora. His life is a testament to faith, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to God’s plan—To God be the glory for the great things He has done, and the greater things yet to come.
