Ray Shell has been a permanent fixture on London’s West End starring in many shows including Starlight Express, Ain’t Misbehavin, Miss Saigon, The Lion King & The BodyGuard; Mr. Shell covered James Earl Jones in the West End production of Driving Ms. Daisy, played Joe Keller in the Talawa Theatre production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons and recently played Emil Foley in the Curve production of An Officer and A Gentleman directed by Nikolai Foster. Mr. Shell is the Creative Director of London’s Giant Olive Theatre Co. for them he has directed A Christmas Carol, Oliver Twist, Zip, and The Tulip Wars. Mr. Shell is also the Artistic Director of Dulamaes a performance space in Wilson North Carolina. Ray can be seen in the film THE US VS BILLIE HOLIDAY produced and directed by Lee Daniels. Mr. Shell’s novel Iced has been published internationally and is soon to be a major film produced and directed by Lee Daniels. His new novel, CAROLINA RED is published by STREET ANGELS BOOKS; its film rights have been purchased by UK production company SUGAR FILMS, and a biography Spike Lee: The Eternal Maverick is published by Street Angels Books and distributed by Amazon.com.
