My son and I are both authors, my son novels are written under series heading Chronicles of Forbidden Knowledge mine are written under the Nina Steel Adventure series When the Shy was Open and Stepping into Intrinsic Death. Quintin started his writing career in earnest back in 2010 at 11 years old with beautiful short stories. At 15 he started his first novel. The novels, 106,755 words long was Stepping into Intrinsic Death and tandem he wrote When the Sky was Open 142,782 words which became the first book in the series. He graduated with honors from University High school Orlando Florida. When the Shy was Open A young successful author, Damien finds himself being ripped apart by incredibly disturbing nightmares. Nightmares that are so crippling he can no longer tell the difference between them and reality. After his world is turned upside down by an unknown disaster aboard a cruise ship, he finds himself stranded on a hither to unknown island, full of mythological creatures, very helpful humans and a seductive sage. Of these, some lend assistance to his plight by sending him on an arduous journey that will ultimately achieve their own long sought after goals. Damien must fight moment by moment to determine whether this is all a horrifying, nightmare out of the twilight zone, or some fanciful reality containing dragons, unicorns and powers beyond comprehension. Ultimately he is faced with one terrible dilemma, can the islanders be trusted or is he just a tool to be used and callously discarded. Ray Hansen began writing the Nina Steel Adventure series in 1988. Lure of Death was the first book written, however, pressure from fans encouraged him to write a different opener to the series. This brought about Ethnic Weapon, which is now the accepted first book in the series and was released in audio and e-book formats in 1993 along with Lure of Death as an e-book. Four years later, the third book in the series was released under a great deal of hoopla due to the book’s title, Hamster in a Microwave. A landslide of mail from animal rights groups found its way to Mr. Hansen’s doorstep. Their concerns were laid to rest, as the book has nothing to do with the microwaving of hamsters or any other animals. The latest book is Too Easy, which is a departure from the others in the series as it incorporates a great deal of humor. Originally, the series was to be made up of eight books or episodes with each book having its own plot, but at the same time being part of a much larger story that encompasses all eight books. Yet once again, Mr. Hansen is under pressure to expand the series, as a rapidly growing Nina Steel fan club is demanding more. At this time, Mr. Hansen is not revealing whether the series will end with book eight or continue on indefinitely. In either case, the readers of action adventure can be assured that Nina Steel and her team of terrorist bounty hunters will be around for many years to come in this incredibly popular series.
