Rain is an alumna of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, the University of New Mexico, and the University of Kentucky. She is also a Donaghey Scholar and fellow of the William G. Cooper, Jr. Honors Program in English.

Rain is a retired paralegal, dedicating her time to writing and publishing. Now, she is an award-winning author and screenwriter who treasures her gift of campfire storytelling.
