R. N. O'Rourke, from NJ, parents Jersey City, grew up spending summers at the Jersey Shore with his family and friends, where the, memories and moments inspired his stories that evolved over 12 years of writing into Beach Dogs his first book in a series of four. His writing blends humor, nostalgia, some chaotic romance, and mystery with an authentic realism approach and look at the people and places that make the Shore and Hoboken connection at times a rite of passage that some emerge from some hold onto! A longtime New Jersey resident, R.N. ORourke lives in Hoboken, continues to write stories inspired by the characters, friendships, hot summer nights and all the. mess in the middle. Beach Dogs is his debut novel and the first book in a continuing series.
